Privacy Policy

Interval Food ("Interval", "we", "our", or "us") provides food ordering, order management, menu management, and cafeteria operations tools for customers, restaurant staff, managers, owners, and admins.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users of our website and Android application.

Information We Collect

  • Account details such as username, email address, mobile number, role, and password hash.
  • Customer workplace details such as company name, office building, and location.
  • Restaurant and staff details such as business name, designation, service location, and menu records.
  • Restaurant and dish photos uploaded by restaurant owners.
  • Restaurant logos, contact details, served locations, PAN, FSSAI and GSTIN numbers, and private business documents where supplied by the owner. When an Aadhaar number is entered, we retain only its last four digits.
  • Order information such as selected items, quantities, totals, order status, and timing details.
  • Feedback information such as ratings and comments for food quality, food quantity, and serving time.
  • Email verification and admin verification information such as one-time passcode status and verification timestamps.
  • Android device notification tokens linked to signed-in accounts so we can send order alerts.

How We Use Information

  • Create, verify, and manage user accounts.
  • Match customers with restaurants serving their office location.
  • Process food orders and show order status to customers and restaurant staff.
  • Help restaurants manage menus, availability, feedback, and operational KPIs.
  • Send account verification emails and important service messages.
  • Send Android notifications about new orders and order changes.
  • Protect the service from unauthorized access, duplicate accounts, and misuse.

Sharing Of Information

We do not sell user personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service, such as showing order details to the restaurant fulfilling the order, sending email through our email service provider, sending order alerts through Firebase Cloud Messaging, or complying with legal requirements.

Data Storage And Security

Account and order data is stored in a protected database. Passwords are stored as hashes, not plain text. We use HTTPS on our production domain and limit access to administrative features by user role.

Restaurant documents are stored in a private S3 bucket and can be downloaded only by that restaurant's owner and the platform admin. Customers see the public restaurant profile and logo.

Data Retention

We keep account, order, menu, and feedback information for as long as needed to operate the service, support restaurant records, resolve issues, and meet legal or business requirements. Users may submit an account and data deletion request at Account And Data Deletion.

Children's Privacy

Interval Food is intended for workplace food ordering and restaurant operations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Android App Permissions

The Android app requests notification permission to show order alerts. Restaurant owners may choose photos from their device to add to restaurant and menu pages. The app uses internet access for login, ordering, photo uploads, and order updates.
